Gentry Academy offers a variety of college preparation and leadership development programs designed to help students confidently navigate their future. While traditional schools focus primarily on academics, they often fall short in preparing students for two of life’s most important transitions: succeeding in college and launching a meaningful career.
Our leadership curriculum bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world success by helping students understand how their educational choices connect to future opportunities. Through personality and vocational aptitude assessments, career exploration, entrepreneurship experiences, and specialized studies in technology and business, students gain valuable insight into their strengths, interests, and potential career paths.
In today’s competitive environment, success requires more than a college degree. Students need practical skills, professional experiences, and a clear sense of direction. As a Gentry Academy alumnus, students also have access to paid professional internships through the Gentry Academy College and Corporate Network Center, with opportunities for career placement and full-time employment following graduation, depending on their field of study.
The mission of our college counseling department is to facilitate the search and application process for secondary education. The process is set within the larger context of personal growth, seeking to integrate students’ skill sets and educational backgrounds resulting in fulfilling careers.
Students receive the tools to get into the college or university that best meets their needs while also learning valuable leadership skills.
Representatives from highly-ranked colleges and universities will visit Gentry Academy throughout the academic year. Our staff helps facilitate college visits for our students and their families.
Juniors and seniors have the opportunity to attend special sessions to prepare them for all things secondary.

The Pathfinder Program is designed to begin with the end in mind – an education with a purpose. It combines traditional classroom education with practical life and career preparation and real-world experience.
Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) is a program that provides 11th- and 12th-grade students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school through enrollment in and successful completion of college-level courses. Students will be offered traditional PSEO, generally at the campus of the postsecondary institution, and offered courses online. Postsecondary institutions are not allowed to charge PSEO students for tuition, textbooks or support services. Students may be charged for equipment that becomes their property when the course or program is completed.
An important piece of the college admissions process is taking the ACT or SAT. Our staff partners with experts in the field of test prep to ensure juniors are prepared to take the ACT or SAT in the spring of their junior year.
